The production of Carbon Dioxide and moisture occurs through a chemical process called Photo catalysis. The photo catalytic reaction occurs when a surface coated with Tio2 (Titanium Dioxide) is irradiated with a certain frequency of ultraviolet light. The energy of light excites Tio2 causing the generation of free radicals that, together with ultraviolet light, produce the oxidation of contaminants and bacteria present until they are converted into Co2 (Carbon dioxide) and H2o (Water).
